My journey with the piano had a rough start. I began classical lessons at the age of six. It felt tedious, and at one point, a teacher even considered quitting on me. But around three years in, I discovered playing by ear, and suddenly, everything clicked.
Since then, I've had some incredible experiences - leading worship for large congregations, recording albums, performing at weddings, leading bands, and doing solo shows. Understanding how music works transformed my passion for playing.
Teaching has also been a significant part of my journey. Over the past seven years, I've worked with hundreds of students. Witnessing their rapid progress, from beginner to playing dozens of songs in a matter of weeks, has been rewarding. I believe making music enjoyable and breaking it down into understandable parts is key. With a strong foundation, you can play anything from Worship to Broadway, Ragtime to Jazz. I'm excited to continue this journey by teaching piano at the upcoming Music and Arts Camp!
